The Society for Classical Studies is pleased to announce the new annual Raffaella Cribiore Award for Outstanding Literary Translation. The award will honor up to two books each year by SCS members published within the past three calendar years. The translated work shall be a primary text in Ancient Greek or Latin.
Recipients will be chosen by three judges serving staggered terms. In 2025, these judges will be Sarah Ruden, Deborah Roberts, and Adrienne K. Ho Rose.
Letters of nomination may be submitted by anyone, including the author, publisher, or a third party, by March 22, 2025, and decisions will be announced in Fall 2025.
