The Society for Classical Studies is happy to announce its second Ancient Music Open Mic Night, on Saturday, January 4th, 8:30-10:00, hosted by John Franklin (UVM).
We seek performers of 'ancient music', broadly understood: songs and music inspired by ancient history, literature, mythology, or musical techniques originals and covers, modern instruments or ancient replicas-and of course surviving pieces collected in Pöhlmann and West, Documents of Ancient Greek Music (Oxford, 2001).
