The editorial board of “Mètis. Anthropologie des mondes grecs et romains (Histoire, philologie, archéologie, philosophie)”, an internationally peer-reviewed journal of UMR 8210 Anhima, ex- Centre Gernet, wishes to inform members of the scientific community that it welcomes dossiers (between 5 and 8 articles) and unpublished articles (in French, German, English, Spanish, Italian, Modern Greek) in the Varia section of all its issues.

Created in 1986 in the Centre Louis Gernet, as the result of a collaboration between French and Greek Hellenists (University of Ioannina) and later on with Romanists, Mètis proposes every year to the scientific community a selection of articles analyzing Greek and Roman society from an anthropological and historical perspective.

« Independent and open » as Jean-Pierre Vernant wanted it to be, the journal promotes an approach to the Ancient worlds that draws upon a broad multidisciplinary range of classical studies (history, philology, archaeology, philosophy) and fosters both a variety of topics and the renewal of methodologies.

Mètis publishes one issue a year, delivered in autumn.
Submissions are examined on a first-come, first-served basis and peer-reviewed in a double-blind process.

The editorial standards, ethics charter and Zotero style sheet can be downloaded from the Anhima website: https://www.anhima.fr/publications/revues/metis.

Authors are asked to send their text to the following e-mail address: redaction.metis@ehess.fr
