Upon accessing the submission system, please read the instructions on the landing page in their entirety. This page includes important information on submission requirements, plus links to guidelines and resources from the SCS Program Committee on submitting a proposal for the Annual Meeting.
The deadline for submitting ALL proposals for the 2026 Annual Meeting is Monday, April 7, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) ET. That includes:
- Individual abstracts
- Lightning talks
- Panel, Committee Panel, Workshop, Seminar, and Roundtable Proposals
- Affiliated Group Panel Reports (All affiliated groups wanting to submit a panel should select this category)
- Already approved Organizer-Refereed Reports
- Charter Application to become an affiliated group, or for existing groups to renew
- New Organizer-Refereed Panel proposals for the 2027 meeting
Accessing the Submission System
To access this site, you must be a SCS member for 2025, and have access to the primary email address (profile address) associated with your member account. To check your membership status and email account on file, go to your profile at: https://scs.press.jhu.edu/membership/profile
If you need to join, renew, or change your email address for your SCS membership, the deadline for you to do so is Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 (2 business days in advance of the closing deadline). If you wait until after that date to join, renew or change your email address, those changes may not be incorporated in time for you to access the program submission site before it closes.

Single Appearance Policy and Single Submission Policy
Please Note: The Program Committee is aware of members engaging in double submissions at the Annual Meeting. In response to this, they strongly encourage all submitters to read and adhere to the SCS’s Single Appearance Policy and Single Submission Policy, found below. Failure to comply could result in the invalidation of ALL submissions.
